Creating Safe Places for Kids to Learn and Belong

Safe communities are built through relationships, opportunities and a shared sense of belonging.

In partnership with the Edina Parks & Recreation Department, the Edina First Responders Fund helps ensure that young people throughout Edina have access to supervised and structured summer activities.

The programs give participants opportunities to have fun, stay active, make friends and explore their creativity in a supportive environment. They also help the Edina Police Department build positive relationships with children and families outside of emergency situations.

By creating spaces where young people can safely learn, play and connect, these programs strengthen individual families and the community as a whole.
